The Mission

We want to leverage video game activity to strengthen technical & strategic capabilities in all gamers.

By incorporating educational lesson plans with video game titles, we aim to increase the intellectual, emotional and social resilience in youth that spends time playing video games. We help youth identify correlating factors between what kind of gamer they are and how those skills can be utilized outside of gaming.

This empowers youth participants to interact with these insights in their schools, work places and their communities.

Theory of Social Change

Youth that spends most of their time playing video games can now use that time to gradually develop & increase their gamified skills into transferable talents.

According to a survey by PayScale in 2016 which provided data on salaries, and executive development firms for future workplaces, more than 60% of hiring managers believe soft skills like critical thinking is most lacking among even recent college graduates.

With our services, we help participants identify and develop these crucial soft skills so that any young person can have the confidence and competencies to succeed in their workplace or educational institution.

Bold Ideology & Vision

Expand and transcend video games to being more than a source of interactive entertainment in the public education system.

Game Glory’s Gamification Program wants to create a physical space where youth can learn & understand their cognitive behaviors through gamification.

That way, they can have fun while learning how video games can be utilized to capture directly how we experience, develop & interact with the progression of life.

About The Founder

Nellis has more than 9 years of experience in youth development, digital marketing, product management, & community organizing.

His passion for ludology, advocacy, interactive media, & alternative paths to education led him to pursue professional opportunities in business intelligence & creative planning.

In 2017, he spent his time validating hypotheses formed by the Entertainment Software Association on how technology and video games can be used to bridge the skill gap between American youth and employers. He concludes that experiential learning through gamification is the best catalyst.

(For community and educational programs): The priority of this program is to create a space where children (age 5-18) can learn & understand their cognitive behaviors through arts-based gamification programming. The main outcome of this program is for participants to engage with video games in a thought-provoking way; not just through interactive entertainment. These game sessions allow participants to identify with essential creative and technical skills in a fun but educational way. We achieve this by setting up challenging scenarios and asking thoughtful reflection questions during and after game sessions.
